My passion for design started early. At six years old I won two metallic markers – and still have them – in a coloring contest and was hooked. I went on to win drawing contests in high school, and with encouragement from some wonderful art teachers along the way, I knew I could take my passion and turn it into a career. I have been making design happen for a variety of clients for over twelve years now, and am always energized by the challenge of bringing my clients’ simple need or idea, to life in message of color, shape and style. In my free time, I work at mastering the art of allergy-free cooking, enjoy testing my skills and strength at CrossFit, and I love watching my three boys kick butt on the wrestling mat.
Everything should be fun. Granted, it doesn’t always work out that way, but that’s my approach to life as well as design. Think about the ads or campaigns that you remember. I can almost guarantee they made you laugh, or at least think. Whether I’m camping, riding, fishing or designing an ad for a food magazine, there’s gonna be a smile on my face and a cold one in my future. C’mon, have some fun.
